I've spent a total of $800 on Google with Adwords, and that's just in the last week!!!! So what am I doing wrong?????? I assume I'm picking the right keywords. I mean they DO describe the product I'm selling. I try to bid high enough to get at least into the top 7 spots. But still, out goes the money and in comes NOTHING!!!!
I know I'm not the only person that feels like this. So what I'm I missing? I'll tell you. I DON'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO PROPERLY USE GOOGLE ADWORDS! Now isn't that the most obvious thing you've every heard?!
Finally I got wise and started to do my homework. I went out and brought a book. I read it cover to cover. It was one of those "Dummy" books. Okay, it helped a little. I realized something that was again, obvious, but I was not doing. You have to know how to write a catchy ads. If you just write what is the most obvious, 9 times out of 10 it won't catch anyone's attention. For example, if you are selling or advertising a money making business online you'd probably write an ad like this:
MAKE MONEY ONLINE
I make money online with this
product. Find out more.
THIS won't get you noticed. It's BORING!!!!! A better Ad would look like this:
I HAVE A FAT BANK ACCOUNT

Sounds a little more interesting, no?! Well that's just one thing I learned by doing my homework. I also learned about keywords and how to use them to get the most exposure. Did you know that if the maximum bid on a word is out of your budget, let's say $10.00 CPC and you only wanted to bid $.20, you can wait until later that day or even the next day and try again? I didn't know that bid maximums change constantly and that if a word appears to be out of your range one day you can keep trying and eventually find that affordable window.
There are so many ways you can waste money online, especially if you are starting a home business and REALLY need to get your product out there making money for you. I know that when I did my homework I finally started making money. In fact, I implemented some of the things I learned yesterday and I already made some money today. Not bad I'd say. Here are some of the websites that have helped me and that I would recommend. You don't have to buy anything if you don't want but they are not expensive and HAVE BEEN helpful.
